The mission of Second Chance Community Outreach (SCCO) is to create opportunities which impact, improve and/or sustain the quality of people\'s everyday life. We exist to encourage ongoing rebuilding efforts within communities worldwide. We identify a need and together we meet it. Our vision is redefining capital through philanthropy. SCCO believes the best form of capital is human capital and collectively we are utilizing resources (time and money) to demonstrate it. By giving to SCCO, you are becoming the proverbial \"boots on the ground\" for a child\'s first flight outside of their immediate community, an aspiring entrepreneur\'s startup business venture or a terminally ill patient\'s last wish. The opportunity to create second chances are limitless and deeply rewarding. It is never too late for a second chance. Second is anything after one. Our tagline is also simple. It is Life. People. Mission. “Remember that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!” Don\'t just imagine the possibilities, CREATE THEM!Today, SCCO is developing partnerships to renovate/preserve a former factory to function as a community development center (CDC) in Jasper County. This CDC will serve as a small business incubator to promote economic growth and job creation. In July 2018, Sheree leveraged her banking expertise and expanded the vision. SCCO now serves as the umbrella 501c3 nonprofit organization of Second Chance Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Bank. Second Chance CDFI Bank was created to serve undeserved individuals (those left out of the traditional financial mainstream) beginning with microloans for minority small business owners. Both entities are vigorously creating innovative ways to reach those who need it most. Sheree aspires to provoke synergetic collaboration among the people and place she so proudly calls home and beyond.
