ABOUT SHEREECIA BANGURA
I am a University of Toronto graduate specializing in Biological Chemistry who is interested in analytical chemistry and radiopharmaceuticals. I am currently pursuing a postgraduate program at Humber College for Forensic Identification. Being a part of the Forensic Identification program has allowed me to get a better understanding of what it’s like to be out in the field and be under a high-pressure environment. I have gained hands-on experience in blood spatter analysis, obtaining fingerprints from numerous surfaces using brushes and powders, casting footwear impressions, using software programs, and doing numerous mock crime scenes. I have enhanced my photography skills by getting a full understanding of the exposure triangle, operating in manual, aperture priority, and shutter priority, and capturing light with different techniques. I have hands-on experience in working in project design, project management, and problem-solving through my work as a lab technician at McMaster University Accelerator Laboratory. My goal is to gain experience in this laboratory where I’ll be able to apply my theory, gain transferable skills, and learn about the world of nuclear power and radiation.
