Hi, I\'m Sheoli!I\'m interested in solving a specific, modern problem : emerging technologies are entering our industries, schools, and our personal lives at a pace that makes them difficult to understand, let alone regulate. Often, we are forced to confront the consequences - both positive and negative - of a technology only after its arrival.The solution lies at the intersection of technical execution and critical thinking about ethicality. As a final-year Philosophy and Data Science student at William & Mary, I have been armed with the tools to translate complex technical systems (especially those relevant to Generative AI) into clear, sustainable, and human-centered policy recommendations.I am deeply curious about the range of these new systems, and often experiment with them. I spend several hours a day listening to podcasts and reading articles related to the state of AI in the world and its intersection with public life. To document this journey, I have begun to record my findings and insights in blog, where I reflect on topics like the ethics of personalized learning driven by AI as seen in the Alpha School model.My approach is backed by a rigorous technical foundation in data science and mathematics. I have completed coursework in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Generative AI systems, alongside a strong mathematical base in Linear Algebra and Inferential Statistics. I am proficient in Python, R, and SQL, with experience building data-driven solutions and web frameworks like Flask and Django. I enjoy experimenting with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Plotly to transform messy data into clear insights.In my free time, you\'ll find me drawing, playing piano, or quibbling with my family!
