In addition to Instructional Coach duties, develop novice coaches’ practice by planning and implementing orientation and training sessions, and conducting coaching cycles consisting of observing and debriefing veteran and novice coach practice. Facilitate reflection and collaboratively work towards solving problems of practice, including those involving relationship-building with novice teachers, structuring objective-driven agendas, and framing challenging talking points -Collaborate with program leadership to transition from former education specialist Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs) to current ones by auditing former coursework and synchronous teacher education sessions to determine strengths and needs, propose ways to thoroughly address new TPEs, and create and implement content, practice, and assessment opportunities -Contribute to accreditation activities, including populating matrices for education specialist and general education credential programs and planning, executing, and communicating program actions in response to stipulations -Coordinate edTPA for education specialists, including interpreting tasks required of candidates, developing both synchronous and asynchronous teacher education opportunities to enhance candidate understanding and success with tasks, and provide edTPA-approved individualized support to teachers in response to portfolio items.
