I am a rural education leader and statewide advocate committed to ensuring equitable access to high-quality educational opportunities for students and schools across Greater Minnesota. My work sits at the intersection of classroom practice, district leadership, policy, and community partnerships—bridging local needs with state and systems-level solutions.Throughout my career, I have led and contributed to initiatives that strengthen urban, suburban and rural schools through innovative programs, educator capacity-building, and cross-sector collaboration. I have experience working with school districts, boards, legislators, universities, nonprofits, and community partners to translate complex educational challenges into actionable strategies, sustainable programs, and effective advocacy.As the founder of Elysian Consulting, I provide executive leadership for grant-funded and statewide projects focused on STEM, computer science, literacy, and professional learning. My work includes strategic planning, budget and compliance oversight, partnership development, and program implementation—always with an emphasis on responsible stewardship, measurable impact, and mission alignment.I am particularly passionate about advancing rural education through thoughtful policy, inclusive leadership, and innovative services that meet the real needs of educators and students. I believe strong schools are foundational to thriving rural communities, and that durable change happens when trust, data, and shared purpose guide decision-making.I value collaborative leadership, clear communication, and governance that honors both accountability and vision.
