Dreams for Kids mission is to empower at-risk youth and those with disabilities through dynamic leadership programs and life-changing activities that inspire them to fearlessly pursue their dreams and compassionately change the world. It is in giving that they each find the power that exists in them to transform their lives and the lives of others. The youth in our programs lead others to their dreams and in the process realize their own. Dreams for Kids innovative programs have been hailed as “revolutionary,” “brilliant,\" “stunning,” “breathtakingly innovative,” and “world changing,” by scholars and world leaders at KIN Global Summit. The Kellogg Innovation Network of Northwestern University recently honored Dreams for Kids as its Innovative Nonprofit of 2010.Dreams Leaders : Unites youth from every race, religion, gender, and socio- economic background, to serve their less fortunate peers, create positive social change, celebrate our common humanity, and be the leaders we are seeking to transform the world.Extreme Recess: The first of its kind adaptive sports and activitiesprogram for kids with disabilities provides children the opportunity to participate in sports, often for the very first time. Adaptive sporting events from snow and water-skiing, to martial arts and baseball, allow children to realize a physical potential previously unimagined while having the time of their lives!Holiday for Hope: The world\'s largest holiday celebration for homeless youth, unites people of all faith in an historic event. Inside shelters and orphanages, on the streets of tiny villages, and in churches, synagogues, and community centers, the forgotten children of our world celebrate life, each other, the gift of generosity, and hope for the New Year!
