ABOUT SHELLY KALRA

Shelly is an Operational Excellence and Risk Management professional with experience working in large highly regulated financial institution and fintech. She deeply embraces that operational excellence and risk are two sides of the same coin. She has expertise evaluating and mitigating business risks, three lines of defense governance, managing risk oversight functions to ensure sound and sustainable control environment. In her current role, she leads Centre of Excellence for Operations department at DailyPay where she leads strategic initiatives, controls and monitoring, incident management, business continuity management, procurement functions. Previously, she led global operational risk for Travel Lifestyle Services business in 22 markets, responsible to evaluate and mitigate business risks and risk oversight functions like Compliance Risk Assessment, Process Risk Self Assessment, Third Party Lifecycle management, Business Self Testing etc. She has been responsible to build control framework and oversight for TLS in emerging markets like China and Manila. She also oversaw risk framework and monitoring for Global Business Travel, AXP critical joint venture. Previously, she worked in Global Servicing business responsible for building processes supporting various global regulations like Anti money Laundering, FACTA, GDPR etc. She also had solid experience in Privacy Laws having worked in Privacy organization and partnering closely with Privacy, compliance and Legal on a regular basis. Shelly has technology background and is very hands on to work with technology in assessing technology processes for risks or working on enhancements to risk management processes and programs.
