The mission of Donate Life Kentucky Trust is to educate and encourage Kentuckians to register as organ and tissue donors while obtaining a driver’s license and beyond. We partner with Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) and Kentucky Lions Eye Bank in education and outreach and use the combined, national Donate Life brand; learn more at In 1992, the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. They successfully sponsored legislation to allow Kentuckians obtaining driver\'s licenses or ID\'s, the opportunity to donate $1 to raise awareness about organ donation. Those dollars are put into a Trust, called the KY Circuit Court Clerks\' Trust For Life. With these dollars, the Trust educates Kentuckians about the life-saving impact of donation & the miracle of transplantation.
