As the Director of People & Culture and member of the ELT, I play a pivotal role in guiding HR initiatives that drive organisational growth, employee engagement, and operational excellence. I have a deep understanding of both HR best practices and the business context in which we operate. I am responsible for overseeing and shaping all aspects of the HR function, aligning strategies and practices with the broader organisational objectives. My role involves a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and operational execution, translating business goals into effective HR strategies. Key responsibilities- Spearhead the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives which include – talent acquisition and management, leadership and development, performance management, ED & I initiatives, a commitment to ESG and sustainability and a commitment to employee health and wellbeing- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies, ensuring the right talent is in place to support business objectives- Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans- Develop and implement a comprehensive leadership development program, and L&D program- Implement a competency-based performance management system, leading to a more transparent and objective performance evaluation process- Manage employee relations cases, conducting investigations, mediations, and resolution strategies to maintain a positive work environment- Assist in the development and execution of diversity and inclusion initiatives- Administer the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding processes- Coordinate recruitment efforts, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions. Develop of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law regulations.
