About Shelley Curren
Hello! I am an HR professional who firmly believes that an organization’s greatest asset is its people. Equity in hiring and supporting our people is at the heart of what I do. At Perennial Properties, I oversee all facets of HR, including employee relations, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, training and development, recruiting, and onboarding. In just under two years, we have seen a 50% increase in employee engagement and a 10% decrease in voluntary turnover – yes, during the Great Recession!My greatest strengths are creating cultures of trust and accountability, building critical leader competencies and employee development initiatives, developing systems and processes that are good for the employees and the company, and integrating DEI initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle. I hold a BBA from University of New Orleans and am working towards my SHRM-CP. Interests include ceramics (I take two ceramics classes a week), exploring Georgia’s beauty through hiking and outdoor activities, and then counterbalancing that with eating my way around the best Atlanta offers!
