I am in search of HOPE through Music and the Arts for those whom I call Angel. My Angels are the most beautiful loving caring human beings I have ever met, but yet they have not been allowed nor given the opportunity to embrace the healing effects that Music and the Arts bring into their lives. My Angels are those who are differently abled. Some call them Special Needs I call them Special because of who they are and what they have to offer society and our world. What I do as a Visionary at Music In Motion is bring awareness to the needs of those whom have taught me the true meaning of courage and self determination. I have seen amazing changes take place in their lives over the last six plus years since I started my program Music In Motion. I have watched them go from their wheelchair to standing and dancing. I have watched them grow in self confidence. I have watched them engage more when I began giving them open mic time at our dances. I have watched them stand in the middle of the dance floor embraced by the sound of the music without any thought of the obstacles that they face everyday. I am humbled by the joy that I see as I watch these changes take place and the impact that music has made in their lives. I started with 12 to 14 Angels at my dances six years ago and now have up to 300 in attendance. At our annual Prom in April which is sponsored by a Fraternity at our local University we had 500 Angels in attendance. The numbers speak for themselves. My goal for Music In Motion is to open up the doors of opportunity for my Angels in Music and the Arts and to give them a chance to explore more in music, in theatre, in film and other areas. I believe that there is no dis in ability and that it is lack of opportunity that keeps them from living a full and productive life and showing the world just how abled they are. Music has made an amazing impact in their lives and it shows more and more each month. Music Heals!

It has been awhile since I have published here. Music In Motion is still going strong. I am looking for those in the Music Industry who are sincere about reaching out to my Angels and to my program to help me accomplish the goals that I wish to reach to help my Angels achieve a wonderful and fulfilled life in Music and the Arts. I am working on obtaining my Non Profit status but had to put that goal on hold due an unexpected health issue in my family. Thankfully we have made it through the rough times and are on the road back to recovery. I have continued with our dances each month and other activities for my Angels which has helped me stay focused on the positive side of life. I beleive that Music and being focused on something that you love has many healing affects. To all of my Music Friends here I just want you to know how important your gift is to those whom I call Angel. You are making such a beautiful impact in their lives. And the same for all the arts. I worked with a young man with Autism when he was in the first grade. His sister recently heard about my program and started bringing him. He is in Middle School now. He loves to make videos. He loves films. He recently told me he wants to make a video about Autism. I would love to find someone in the film industry who could reach out to him. I have Angels who love to dance, I have Angels who love to sing, I have Angels who love to Dj. They just want to do what they love to do but don\'t have the resources to get started. As I have said before, my ultimate goal would be to build an Angel Club and fill it with Music and areas for workshops for film and dance and media. Music In Motion is all about HOPE. It\'s all about making dreams come true. It\'s all about HOPE through Music and the Arts.
