Partnering • Collaborating with Supervising Producers, Senior Producers, Marketing/Promotions Teams to co-write partnership, marketing, and branding strategies. • Develop, build and maintain relationships with studio reps, talent reps, book publishers, music publishers, copyright and intellectual property owners. Negotiating • Negotiate contracts, licensing terms, and deals for for production segments recorded on the Sony lot and in remote locations worldwide. • Negotiate fees. Legal Compliance • Work directly with Legal and Risk Management Departments to anticipate, review, and troubleshoot potential legal compliance and/or clearance issues, as well as assess and communicate the standards necessary to implement the studio’s standards of conduct. • Research guild requirements and consult with Labor Relations regarding collective bargaining agreements, including SAG-AFTRA, Writer’s Guild, and Director’s Guild. • Conduct conflict resolution to maintain a productive and functional work environment that drives accountability.
