As Manager, Community Engagement at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), I lead national and regional initiatives that connect community, philanthropy, and impact across the sight loss ecosystem, with a strong focus on accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful engagement.I oversee CNIB’s National Scholarship Program, managing the end-to-end scholarship lifecycle, stewarding donor relationships, and supporting students who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision.I also lead the production of CNIB’s Connecting the Dots conference series at both national and regional levels, bringing together people with sight loss, industry leaders, researchers, employers, and advocates to build networks and drive change.In addition, I produce the Arthur Napier Magill Award ceremonies and serve as production manager and show-runner for the Guide Dogs with Purpose Gala in Regina, delivering high-profile, accessible fundraising and stewardship experiences.Alongside these flagship initiatives, I support CNIB advocacy, mentorship, and community workshops, helping to foster peer connection, leadership development, and community capacity-building across Canada.

After more than a decade working across the music and film industries—supporting production teams for festivals and large-scale creative projects—I transitioned my career toward community impact. As a member of the low vision community, I’ve spent the past four years at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) leading community engagement initiatives that connect people, elevate lived experience, and create opportunities for individuals impacted by blindnessAs Manager, Community Engagement, I lead national and regional initiatives that bring people together around a shared purpose: building a more accessible and connected society.My work sits at the intersection of community engagement, program leadership, and large-scale event production.
