ABOUT SHELBY HUMPHRIES
Let\'s Connect! My name is Deputy Shelby Humphries, and I am with the Kent County Sheriff\'s Office I grew up in a modest home in Portage MI, where I attended Portage Central High School. During my time at Portage Central High School, I was fortunate to win a State Championship in Women\'s Soccer. Once I graduated high school I obtained a scholarship to play college soccer at Grand Valley State University where I was a 2-time National Champion in Women\'s Soccer, while also studying Law Enforcement. After college, I attended the KVCC Police Academy and graduated with a job at the East Lansing Police Department. In November of 2017, I moved to Grand Rapids where I was hired by the Kent County Sheriff\'s Office to further my career as a Police Officer. During my time at the Kent County Sheriff\'s Office I have been very fortunate to be apart of our Video Production Team (Social Media), Road Patrol (Currently) Mobile Field Force (Riot Team), Community Policing Unit, and the Recruiter for the Department.
