Experience
Director IT Governance
Dec 2013 — Present · Owings Mills, MD, US
Established and led the IT Governance space, collaborating with IT and business units to introduce controls and policies aimed at mitigating risk, resulting in cost savings and enhanced stability for customers.• Collaborating with Deloitte, led the IT team to remediate hundreds of deficiencies, perform accurate reporting, and create strong SOP’s in order to pass the company’s first SOC1 Type1 and first SOC1 Type2 audit.• Led a TCS team through 2 projects of $2 million dollars which included onboarding SailPoint and Service Now GRC to remediate deficiencies, improve reporting and automate controls.• Onboarded SailPoint automating User Access Reviews. SailPoint holds all application access acting as a repository for easy provisioning and deprovisioning.• Project managed a $8 million project to move the Data Center to Sterling, VA while adding Nutanix hardware and XI for a DR cloud. It was complete on time and gave the company the first true DR, mitigating risk for our customers.• Successfully performed annual disaster recovery tests since 2021.• Project managed the rebranding of CEI to Element Fleet moving all users, servers and applications from the CEI domain to the Element domain as well as rebranding external emails to the new name of Element Fleet in 5 months.• Enhanced the rudimentary Major Incident Management processes that Element had to the current 24 x 7 coverage, a diligent root cause process, detailed metrics which resulted in a P1 P2 drop from 900 in 2017 to 100 in 2022.• Expanded the Service Now service catalog, rebranding and redesigning the portal to Element Assist which helped the user to enter a request ticket with the correct team instead of an incident. This resulted in a drop of P3 and P4 incidents from in 2017 to in 2022 with faster turn-around times.
