ABOUT ZAINA
Hi, I’m Zaina, a third-year Electrical Engineering co-op student at McMaster University with hands-on experience in power systems, embedded systems, and hardware-focused engineering projects. My academic and project background includes circuits and systems, electronic devices, probability and statistics, microprocessor systems, and electrical systems integration. I have applied this foundation through team-based engineering projects involving microcontrollers, sensors, system validation, technical documentation, and data analysis. I am particularly interested in power systems, energy infrastructure, and safety-critical engineering, with additional exposure to embedded hardware, system integration, and aerospace-adjacent projects. Through my involvement with the McMaster Rocketry Team, I contribute to operational safety, risk assessment, compliance documentation, and cross-functional coordination for complex engineering systems. Beyond technical work, I bring strong communication and organizational skills developed through mentorship, ambassador, and leadership roles. I am comfortable working with structured documentation, Excel-based analysis, and collaborative engineering environments.
