I help high-earning Black women in STEM design fully funded sabbaticals so they can rest intentionally, elevate their lives, and return to work on their terms.After years of nonstop achievement, many women in STEM find themselves financially responsible but personally exhausted. They have emergency savings. They contribute to retirement. They are successful. But they have never built a structured plan to pause.I help them build both.Through strategic cash flow planning, sabbatical runway, and intentional life design, I guide my clients to fully fund an emergency reserve and a dedicated sabbatical fund so they can take courageous seasons of rest every 5 to 7 years without compromising long-term wealth.This is not about quitting.It is about agency.It is about designing cyclical rest into a thriving career.I am on a mission to normalize funded, intentional sabbaticals for Black women in STEM as a pathway to leadership, longevity, and generational wealth.With over 20 years of experience in financial services, I am the founder of Your Story Financial, established in July 2016, serving clients throughout the United States.In 2019, I launched Your Story Financial Academy to make financial independence and work-optional living feel attainable and structured, not abstract.Originally from Columbus, OH, I earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University before pivoting careers to pursue financial planning full time.In 2004, I began my financial services career with a global financial institution.In 2009, I became a financial advisor with a national broker-dealer firm, helping professionals steward their financial futures.After seven years, I launched my independent firm so I could remain aligned with my vision: providing comprehensive financial planning that prioritizes clarity, strategy, and access regardless of accumulated assets.Today, I specialize in:• Cash flow planning and management• Retirement planning• Risk management• Sabbatical runway design• Financial strategy for STEM professionals• Financial literacy workshops and seminars• AI ConsultantOutside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, line dancing, reading non-fiction, watching historical documentaries, and spending time with my husband.#womenengineers #STEM #financialplanning #sabbaticalplanning #financialindependence #BlackWomenInSTEM
