Executive Committee leadership position reporting to the CEO and responsible for the development and oversight of the Bank’s Impact Function. The impact function at (UKIB) is responsible for assessing, shaping, and communicating the impact of the bank’s investments on its two core objectives: tackling climate change and supporting regional and local economic growth. The impact function also ensures that the bank’s investments adhere to its Environmental, Social, Resilience and Governance (ESRG) framework, which considers material risks and opportunities in the context of its partners and projects.Leading a high performing a multi-disciplinary and diverse team of economists and analysts that undertake impact assessments, monitoring and evaluation, and work closely with the banking, policy, finance, and other functions in the Bank. Sustaining a culture of innovation and learning in the function, and play a leading role as a member of ExCo and the Investment Committee, to build capability across the Bank in understanding and communicating the Bank’s impact and ESRG implications.Accountable for delivering the analytical requirements for the Bank and building the best possible evidence base on its priority sectors as well as spatial analysis to drive and shape the Bank’s decision-making processes, and ultimately the outcomes of its investments. Establish and maintain high standards of quality assurance and rigour in data used in investment decisions as well as in conducting evaluations.
