A versatile leader with deep academic experience and broad program management expertise. I have over two decades of expertise in structural biology, biochemistry and structure-based drug design from concept to lead molecule. In my previous position, I identified and validated a new class of antimalarial, raised over $AUD12M from government grants as well as partnerships with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Lgenia, HitGen, Zymergen (now Gingko Bioworks), Therapeutics, PTNG consulting, BioCurate and IP Group Australia. I used this funding to build a global multidisciplinary structure-based drug design program that delivered a lead therapeutic compound to the global product developer, Medicines for Malaria Venture.
