About Sheena Hanscel

I’m the founder of Phoenix Rising Wellness Coaching and the Pollen Patch — a native ethnobotanical garden and living classroom in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to reconnecting people with the healing power of plants, ceremony, and community.With over 8 years of experience as a master-level therapist, my background in mental health continues to inform every layer of my work. After transitioning into holistic healing, I began guiding experiences that blend emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being in a grounded, accessible way.As a ceremony leader and experience guide, I hold space through cacao ceremonies, sound healing, yoga, herbal craft, and floral art — each rooted in relationship with the land and influenced by Indigenous traditions. I also host workshops and engage in public speaking.At the Pollen Patch, we grow pollinator-friendly, medicinal native plants and offer space for events, personal ceremonies, seasonal celebrations, and outdoor ceremonial tattoos in collaboration with Colombian artist Roa of Roa Studios. Our mission is to help restore healthcare autonomy and keep ancestral knowledge alive — one plant, one story, and one ceremony at a time.
