ABOUT SHEA SHELTON

I’m a marketing and communications expert who is incredibly passionate about supporting people with disability. My goal is to use my skills to help build a more inclusive and equitable world.I’m particularly interested in using marketing to support the social and economic participation of people living with disability. I’ve spent 20 years helping not for profit, government and corporate organisations speak and listen — to their customers, stakeholders, sponsors, other organisations and their team members.Some of the ways I’ve done this include- services marketing and product development for the National Disability Insurance Scheme – including helping people prepare for rollout, working to understand the opportunities of the scheme and how these meet the needs of people living with MS, and helping to develop products which pair these- customer acquisition, retention and insights - including Net Promoter Score rollout and product development research- referrer engagement, through management of referral pathway and Key Account Management program for health professionals- communication and marketing strategy, including an events marketing plan which resulted in a $25.3million economic impact and a PRIA award-winning internal communication strategy- a wealth of media relations experience spanning print, broadcast and online media, both metropolitan and rural, both nationally and internationally- a whole bunch of writing, in all its forms – media releases, websites, blogs, magazines, flyers, brochures, event guides, eNewsletters, speeches, direct mail, letters and more- managing multiple media, consumer and stakeholder events — from celebrity media stunts to consumer events with more than attendees to agricultural field daysI love making new professional connections, so please reach out if you want to talk all-things-marketing!
