About Shea Broussard
Shea is a proven GIS professional with years of professional experience. Shea co-founded @FlameMapper, whose mission is to reduce catastrophic wildfire outcomes for communities and partners by providing the data, tools, and know-how needed to make informed mitigation choices. FlameMapper aims to lower the number of structures and lives lost to wildfires through products and services. FlameMapper is currently in the Silver-level Esri Business Partner Program and is one of the few companies worldwide receiving funding to identify and implement metric-driven wildfire mitigation projects. At the same time, Shea also works at a Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) for the Navy. Equipping him with a clearance, CompTIA Security Plus Certification, ESRI Enterprise (Administration Professional), Master\'s degree in GIS, and DoD Confined Space Certifications. Colleagues describe Shea as enthusiastic, loyal, energetic, and driven to make a difference. His most distinguishing quality is his ability to keep things simple and employ common sense in complex environments. His deep understanding of ESRI\'s enterprise technologies makes him an asset to any geospatial team. Shea was 8 years old when a wildfire demolished his family\'s childhood home. This event drove him first to become a firefighter. Yet, his patented inventions led to the founding of Flamemapper, where his team continues to leverage some of Esri\'s most complicated technology to solve real-world problems. Shea\'s brings a unique problem-solving perspective and intellectual capacity to shed light on new solutions to age-old problems. His comprehensive knowledge, diligent work ethic, and ability to align efforts toward common goals make his projects impactful. Eight DoD challenge coins have been awarded to Shea to credit his productive work history over the last decade.
