My doctoral research focuses on the characterization and health risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their derivatives (Oxy-PAHs and Nitro-PAHs) in ambient particulate matter (PM) and road dust from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Using advanced TD-GC-MS analysis, the study aims to generate baseline data, assess seasonal variability and potential sources, and evaluate associated health risks. The outcomes are expected to contribute to improved air quality management and policy frameworks in India, with direct relevance to public health and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 6, 11, and 13).
