Air Terminal Building Redevelopment (2017 - present): Program Management – complete PMO facilitation. This new 24,150 s.m. passenger building is located directly north of the existing terminal complete with a new eastern apron. It opened successfully at the end of 2020, followed by the planned remediation and decommissioning of the existing air terminal building. Transition to the ATB was implemented under the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) Program. ABOUT SHAZAR HACK
Shazar Hack is a registered Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (MRAIC), with over 25 years of design and construction experience on large scale commercial developments. He has been previously employed as a Design Consultant, as well as a Senior Designate for Client Groups, including EIA, YYZ, and BDA airports. After completion of his term with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority client group as Manager of the Terminal 3 Enhancement Program, he was engaged by Skyport, an Aecon Concessions owned company, who are the Private Operators of the Bermuda Airport. As the Program Technical Director for Skyport, Shazar’s responsibilities ranged from design coordination and value engineering of the Public Private Partnership Redevelopment Program, to overall construction management and certification of payment applications in conjunction with third party lenders, while reporting directly to the President of Bermuda Skyport Corporation and to the President of Aecon Concessions. During his employment as a Design Consultant, Shazar coordinated efforts with clients and engineers on numerous projects, in order to achieve viable solutions to design challenges. Projects varied from commercial retail and entertainment, to institutional and high-rise luxury residential. Shazar can transition between the design and construction aspects on diverse projects, from the initial concept stages to project completion, commissioning, and turnover to the end users. He will be able to manage the design development and production of contract documents, as well as overseeing the construction process ranging from building retrofits to green field developments, and payment certification.
