With the support of our team I am responsible for promoting a safe and healthy workplace for allemployees, subcontractors, customers and visitors. I am responsible to develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that promote and provide a healthier, safer work environment and foster a commitment to sound environmental stewardship across all business operations. I work with our organization to determine strategic direction, implement plans and policies and I ensure that these policies and programs meet Municipal, Provincial and Federal legislative requirements. This position directs the resources and activities of the organization in support of the HSE program by providing advice and guidance to company management and senior management. A primary challenge of this position is to continually maintain an appropriate level of safety awareness, knowledge and preparedness across all business groups of the organization and foster a corporate culture that prioritizes effective safety management in the reduction of injuries and prevention of all forms of loss.
