At Winston-Salem State University, my role centers on strengthening workforce planning, optimizing HR processes, and aligning talent strategy with institutional goals. My work incorporates data analysis, system design, and process improvement to make HR decisions more equitable, efficient, and accessible campus-wide.One of my major initiatives has been leading a comprehensive desk audit project impacting 400+ employees. Within the first six months, audits for over 13% of staff were completed, supported by a custom tracking system I built in Excel using pivot tables, data validation, and formulas. This tool provides real-time progress updates and department-level insights, giving leadership actionable data to guide reclassifications, salary adjustments, and workforce planning.I also leverage systems like PeopleAdmin, Banner, and Data Mart to extract and analyze classification data, benchmark roles against peer institutions, and ensure compensation structures remain equitable and competitive. These insights have directly supported data-informed decisions across departments.Beyond audits and data analysis, I contribute to institutional compliance by supporting multi-year assessments through Watermark Planning & Self-Study, aligning HR initiatives with SACSCOC accreditation standards.Equally important is my work in building resources that staff and supervisors rely on daily. I redesigned the Learning & Development SharePoint site, centralizing HR guidance for 700+ employees, and created the Supervisor Training Toolkit, a resource hub covering job postings, position requests, interview preparation, and legal compliance. These platforms streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure HR information is accessible across campus.
