I am a CPA leader with a strong track record of managing finance and business analytics teams, with over 10 years of experience spanning the retail, CPG, healthcare, and tech industries. My background is a bit unconventional (a Psychology and Health studies major) for a finance professional but it lends me a different skillset which is useful for building effective relationships across a business to foster collaboration, process improvements, data-driven decision making, and complex problem solving. For the first few years of my career, I worked with three Fortune 500 companies to support SAP implementations for supply chain functions and analyzed business requirements for replenishment needs. This required me to build supply strategies with some of Canada’s largest distributors and retailers including McKesson, Wal-Mart Canada, and Loblaws. Today, I specialize in commercial finance and performance management. I am the finance lead and key business partner for the carrier sales channel, supporting strategy development, business case creation and analysis. My specific areas of expertise are: budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, management reporting, financial modelling, KPI & dashboard creation, process improvements, people management, and sales strategy.
