ABOUT SHAYA KARIM

Shaya Karim is a finance researcher, focusing on economic downturns and how countries, governments, institutions, and society at large respond. He has had work experience across financial services, not-for-profit fundraising and treasury, international affairs, and academia. He holds a strong passion for innovation, science, philosophy, and entrepreneurship.His perspectives on the social sciences and industry are partly influenced by his multicultural background, with an enthusiasm and advocacy for thought-leadership and governance that is as diverse and cultured/learned as he is. He is eager to pursue board roles, and is the youngest of his peers to hold sponsorship for Executive Management training. He has lived experience, and is driven toward providing informed and impactful change at senior positions.He ardently pursues study, new opportunities and experiences - all of which fashions him to be markedly better.
