ABOUT SHAY SHAYLA JOHNSON

I am an MBA Candidate at the University of South Carolina and Project Manager with Schneider Electric\'s Digital Power Division. I oversee the execution and success of metering solutions in our US North Eastern region as well as monitoring solutions for our clients implementing Uninterruptable Power Supply equipment across the US. I take a people-forward approach with my projects; relationship building is the key to successful communication and project implementation in an adaptive environment. With my previous role as an Automation Engineer II(project lead), I have 3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems with an emphasis in HVAC controls and basic electrical metering systems. This role required a creative approach to DDC and ASC controls, network/protocol planning, server design, and electrical considerations in retrofit buildings. As a project lead, I lead site visits, creation of BAS network designs, oversaw product ordering and delivery, validated design feasibility, created and reviewed BAS drawings from Proposal to As-Built, and guided/trained support engineers on my projects. I am an alumnus of the University of South Carolina as of 2020; I received my Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration and completion of the Capstone Scholars Program. My graduate coursework is inclusive of Nuclear Fuel Cycles, Automotive Design, and Robotics in Mechanical Engineering.
