About Shawn Zimmerman
I recently joined CaringAI, where we’re using artificial intelligence to transform how busy healthcare organizations identify cognitive decline, support dementia patients, and get reimbursed for the care they\'re already providing.Before CaringAI, I founded Zenig, a healthcare software company focused on streamlining the patient experience of collecting information and payment prior to an appointment, kiosk check-in and the operational flow within a healthcare facility. Zenig was acquired by AccuReg where I joined the leadership team and helped grow the company to acquisition by UnitedHealth Group.With a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and an MBA, I’ve spent over 20 years in healthcare technology, spanning hospital operations, clinical informatics, enterprise software development, and consulting. I began my career in hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in patient care workflows, technology infrastructure, and financial systems - knowledge that continues to guide my approach to product design and leadership today.I’m passionate about bridging the gap between healthcare and technology, leading teams that build solutions which not only work well but meaningfully improve the way healthcare is delivered.
