Driven Professional. Shawn Michael McKendry is an Attorney and a seasoned technology industry executive, currently focussed on all areas of complex civil and business litigation. Mr. McKendry is familiar with trial proceedings, appellate advocacy, and all pre-trial stages, including strategy, law and motion practice, all phases of discovery, case settlement and anti-dispute resolutions. In his career before joining the legal profession, Mr. McKendry was focused primarily on business development for scaling rapid-growth organizations that brokered contracts for commercial network services, big data, cloud, SaaS, and legacy telecom. He is adept with corporate operations, drafting and negotiating contracts, mergers and acquisitions, cybersecurity, employment matters, fintech, data privacy and a wide array of regulatory compliance. During his 15-years in the technology industry, he was integral in the growth and transformation of commercial telecommunication firms and forging strategic relationships with Fortune 100 and 500 companies. He spent years working as a liaison between chief-level officers and outside corporate counsel, where he managed high-stakes, mission critical projects and organizational coordination. Mr. McKendry recently completed his Juris Doctorate and was sworn into the California State Attorneys’ Bar, practicing civil defense litigation in the transportation industry. He graduated with a concentration in Technology Law and Entrepreneurship. He served as a Law Journal Staff Editor, a Moot Court Oralist, and an Appellate Clinic Certified Law Clerk before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He worked as a Teaching Assistant for multiple sections of Professional Responsibility and Legal Ethics, and he was a Research Assistant to Professor James Fischer. Over the years, Mr. McKendry has served on various Boards and worked with organizations to advance homelessness prevention initiatives in the greater Los Angeles area. When he is not serving clients or building a solution, he enjoys going to Laker & Dodger games, cooking at home for his wife and young children, and arranging an annual Sequoia National Park trip among family and friends.
