I prepare and present cost and schedule proposals for new development efforts. Working cooperatively with various internal and external customers to create, and manage overall schedule, budget and staffing plan for the activities utilizing the earned value project management system to accomplish contract requirements. I am continuously interfacing with the product development team and report weekly of performance metrics against the project baseline schedule and budget plan. I create monthly variance reports to program management and customer personnel. I have directly supervised the work of design engineers (up to 15 people) and indirectly managed the efforts of other technical support personnel (250+ people). I mentor others to use best design practices, tools, techniques, processes and methodologies to design and document electro-mechanical products using various design software (NX, Solid Edge, Mentor Graphics and AutoCAD), PDM (Team Center) and Microsoft Office software. I design and documented electro-mechanical products (machined chassis, sheet metal enclosures, high performance cables, interconnect designs) providing optimal design for mechanical structures, and electronic packaging for the environments in which they will function throughout the products entire life cycle. I am responsible to present designs to both internal and external customers and for all aspects of the design from initial assignment until product delivery (cradle to grave).
