Shawn has over fifteen years of tax experience with particular emphasis on foreign affiliate reorganizations, financing and surplus related matters. For the past several years, Shawn has also been the lead member of the cross Canada team that is responsible for continuously updating and improving the KPMG surplus template.

As a Partner of the International Corporate Tax team in the Calgary office, I specialize in international corporate income tax advisory and compliance services to Canadian clients operating outside of Canada and to non-Canadian multinationals operating within our borders. I have over 15 years\' experience assisting clients in this regard. I am also KPMG Calgary\'s International Tax Leader of a dedicated team of tax specialists who assist our clients navigate through the constantly changing international tax landscape. I am an active member of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society, Canadian Tax Foundation, and regularly attends events held by the Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC).* Views expressed are my own
