About Shawn Witte
I’m a biological scientist with a master’s degree in Biology from SUNY Buffalo State University, where my graduate work focused on aquatic ecology. During that time, I gained interdisciplinary experience through ecological research and by teaching undergraduate labs in microbiology and cell/molecular biology. I’m also a New York State-licensed veterinary technician with over ten years of experience in the veterinary field. My background in veterinary medicine gave me a solid foundation in biological systems and strengthened my ability to apply science in manufacturing and research settings. Currently, I’m a Scientist II in the Molecular Department at ZeptoMetrix, where I help develop positive controls for infectious disease diagnostic assays. I enjoy collaborating across teams and using my background in both biology and veterinary technology to support innovation in molecular diagnostics and product development. I’m always open to connecting with other professionals in science, diagnostics, and related fields.
