About Shawn Witschen
After five years of active duty in the Marine Corps, I\'m transitioning into business with the same bias for action that defined my time in uniform. As a ground intelligence officer, I deployed to Darwin, Australia with Marine Rotational Force–Darwin as the production and analysis OIC for 1st Marine Regiment, leading a seven-Marine intelligence team alongside Australian, Filipino, and Indonesian partner forces. Stateside, I served as the regimental intelligence officer at CLR-17 and commanded a company of 175 Marines.Prior to separating, I completed the Department of War\'s SkillBridge program as a private equity associate intern with Allegiant Partners.I begin my MBA at NYU Stern in June 2026.I\'m also a CASA volunteer advocate for foster youth in San Diego, an Ironman finisher, and a competitive tennis player who\'s still chasing a better backhand.Author of The Veteran\'s Guide to Crushing MBA Admissions.
