ABOUT SHAWN SMITH
I have been a home inspector since 2002. After college (I attended Florida Atlantic University) I started my career working for Coast To Coast Property Inspections in Davie, FL. I began as an inspector’s apprentice and worked my way up to become the field supervisor for the company. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing the scheduling and day-to-day operations of seven inspectors, as well as, reviewing all of their reports for accuracy. I was also responsible for handling all customer relations. The owner of Coast To Coast Property Inspections also owned two other companies: Rainguard Roofing and Florida Pestguard. I performed evaluations of the work that the roof crews did to ensure that their work was properly performed. I also became a licensed termite inspector through the State of Florida, and did pest inspections for Florida Pestguard. I eventually purchased half of Florida Pestguard and was a full partner in its operations. In July of 2009, I decided to relocate to Nevada to be closer to my family. Upon arrival, I incorporated Pinnacle Property Inspections and fulfilled the state licensing requirements by attending Key Realty School and completing its certificate program in structural inspection. I have also passed the state Inspector of Structures exam and presently carry more than the required limits of insurance (errors & omissions, liability). I also have passed the National Home Inspectors exam, which is more comprehensive then the State of Nevada exam, and have received my Home Inspector Certification through The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) as well as the Master Inspector Certification Board (CMI) and am also certified to perform mold and radon inspections through the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants. Finally, I am an affiliate member of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, as well as, an affiliate member of the Womens Council of Realtors.Specialties: General Inspections, Commercial Inspections, Customer Relations, and HAP Inspector.
