Leader of GSK\'s collaborative research program with UCSF and Berkeley to develop novel functional genomics tools and use them to investigate the origins of complex human disease, combining genetic data, machine learning, and elements of artificial intelligence to progress potential disease targets through GSK’s drug discovery process, while making the technologies and information available to the broader academic community. • Overseeing technology development focused on next generation CRISPR perturbation platforms, advanced human cell models, single cell-omics, imaging, and automation; areas of disease research include neurodegeneration, cancer, immunity, chronic kidney disease, and many others. • Responsible for management of staff, budgets, projects, intellectual property, and logistics; accountable for alignment with various stakeholders, including the Joint Steering Committee, Joint Patent Committee, Scientific Advisory Board, GSK Research leadership, UC collaboration partners, and key opinion leaders, as well as for long-term strategic planning of the LGR’s technology and opportunity roadmap.
