Shawn O’Mara serves as the Chief Risk Officer for National Advisors Holdings Inc. Previously, Shawn served as the Director of Internal Audit for National Advisors Holdings, Inc, a holding company for one of the largest independent national trust companies. He is responsible for developing and evaluating the risk management and compliance system. He reports to the CEO. He has over thirty-five years of management experience, with twenty-four years serving in executive thought leadership roles in internal audit and consulting. He specializes in creating a culture of achievement by building constructive relationships that strive for improvement and enhanced efficiency.Shawn has a MBA from Wayne State University and a BA in public Administration from Michigan State University. He also is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Financial Services Auditor, and an Accredited Trust and Fiduciary Advisor.Prior to joining NAH Shawn served in similar roles as the Global Chief Audit Executive for Best Western International, Inc. for eleven years and as the Director of Risk Advisory Services for RSM LLP for eight years.
