About Shawn Niehaus

I began my career with Fifth Third as a part-time teller in college. I never imagined I’d build a career here, but I began to see what a difference a bank could make to the life of a customer and the life of a community of people. When you take the time to know your customers, learn what they’re passionate about, what they hope for and what keeps them awake at night, you’d be surprised how often you can make a difference. Today, as Head of Consumer Banking, I get to help instill in others the passion for helping people that inspired me and motivates me still. There is nothing like a customer writing to tell us about an employee who helped them achieve a goal they didn’t believe they could, but worked with a Banker to set a plan and made it happen. Working for Fifth Third has helped me see the power of helping people achieve their dreams and live the lives they only dreamt of, and it’s made all the difference in my life, both personal and professional.
