About Shawn Mattox

Shawn Mattox is responsible for overseeing Delaware North’s operations for multiple Sportservice venues and clients, including teams in the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB), as well as major entertainment promoters such as Live Nation. In 2016, he oversaw a team that transitioned the Atlanta Braves’ (MLB) food and beverage operations from Turner Field to their new home at SunTrust Park, which was named Ballpark Digest’s 2017 Ballpark of the Year. In addition to an expansive game-day food-and-beverage program inside the ballpark, his oversight also includes operations in The Battery Atlanta, a year-round mixed-use development that includes a street-side restaurant (Blue Moon Brewery & Grill) and the nearby Coca-Cola Roxy Theater, a 3,600 concert and entertainment theater complex. Beyond Atlanta, Mattox also oversees Delaware North’s operations at TIAA Bank Field, home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, Bridegestone Arena, home of the Nashville Predators, SDCC Stadium, and two minor league baseball venues in North Carolina. Throughout Sportservice’s portfolio, Mattox has demonstrated his operational and human resources leadership through the implementation of large capital improvement projects, new concept designs, product innovation and marketing, the smooth transition of retail operations, introduction of a food truck to drive additional non-event day revenue, and various organizational restructures and process improvements to maximize workforce productivity and the customer experience.Mattox recieved the Delaware North Client Relations Award for 2018, and has received the Lou M. Jacobs Award three times, most recently in 2017. He has also received the DN Power of the People Award in 2016. He is a three-time winner of the DN Sportservice General Manager of the Year Award, a recipient of the Delaware North Sportservice Cup for Managerial Excellence, and a recipient of the President’s Plate.
