About Shawn Benner
Shawn Benner is a hydrogeologist and geochemist with three decades of experience in how water, soil, and mineral interactions control the fate of elements in Earth’s cycles. Before joining Terradot, he served as Dean of the College of Innovation and Design at Boise State University, where he is Professor Emeritus in Geosciences. His research focuses on bringing systems-level understanding to urgent environmental challenges. At Terradot, Shawn is Chief Sciece Officer, leading scientific investigation and strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and conducted his post-doctoral work at Stanford University.
