Dr. Shauntay R. Nelson, current Vice President of WI Women’s Network, is a knowledgeable political strategist with a proven track record of connecting with diverse populations. She possesses an innovative approach to leveraging personal and professional networks for the betterment of community advancement.As a leader of leaders, Nelson has a natural ability to connect with emerging leaders, nurturing their growth and strengthening their capacity for impactful change. Her skills and proficiencies span a wide range, including leadership development, issue-based program development, strategic planning, and effective networking. She excels in solutions-based thinking, strategic planning, and coalition development.In her public service roles, she has made significant contributions as a registered lobbyist, advocating for important causes and influencing legislative action. She also served with distinction on the Wisconsin Ethics Commission and currently serves on the Glendale City Plan and Architectural Commission. Furthermore, her involvement as a Wisconsin State Delegate for Vision 2020, through Drexel University, underscores her commitment to youth education and community development. One of her notable contributions has been partnering with high schools and community-based organizations to donate laptops to graduating seniors, aiming to prepare them for college and reduce limitations in their preparation for higher education.Recognized for her expertise, she has been invited to share her insights and experiences at esteemed institutions such as Marquette University’s School of Law.
