ABOUT SHAUN WARD

I am a dynamic and motivated professional with over 8 years of experience as an engineer and a proven record of building effective relationships and managing projects from concept to completion. I am experienced in leading diverse teams through cross-functional projects. My key strengths are problem solving, effective communication and building highly functional teams. My passion for cars led me to pursue a position in the automotive industry, where I also developed a deep interest in process improvement and lean methodology. My curiosity for technology and computers led me to pursue a diploma in coding through which I learned several programming languages and developed my own projects. These projects also piqued my interest in creative problem solving and algorithms. I have primarily worked on process standardisation and improvement within powertrain, chassis and body systems in automotive manufacturing. I have also led press shop operations and increased effectiveness of the machine output significantly through dimensional analysis of tooling components. I have experience working through the different phases of product lifecycle and have worked in an agile environment. I have led and contributed to several continuous improvement activities with a focus on frugality and efficiency.
