Clinical Nurse Educator for Vanda Pharmaceuticals specializing in Rare Disease educating on Non-24 Circadian Rhythm Sleep/Wake Disorder; my role includes educating individuals in the blind community along with building and maintaining relationships with local/state/national advocacy organizations and vocational rehabilitation facilities within the blind community.Conduct educational presentations on Non-24 to individuals in the blind community providing disease state awareness to support clients desire to be diagnosed and treated for this rare disease. Present to audiences both small and large group setting. This position was previously managed by MSLs.Collect and communicate patient insights to inform development of effective patient education to enhance safe and effective use of product.Support and collaborate with the commercial team at presentations and conferences to increase disease state awareness and communicate client/customer insights to facilitate further interests in diagnosis/treatment.Assist in the launch of the nurse educator program for this franchise by providing my expertise; assist with improving and forming current SOP\'s within the nurse educator program. The first nurse educator hired by Vanda to help build the nurse educator program.Independently manage rapport with advocacy organizations/rehabilitation facilities, travel within my region.Initiate clinical trial calls to assist in collectively developing interests.
