About Shaun Pacheco
I received a Ph.D. in optics from University of Arizona, where I did research in traditional optical engineering and computational optics. For my graduate research, I worked with microscopy (wide-field and confocal), diffractive optics, polarization, hyperspectral imaging, and computational optics (Fourier ptychography). In my professional career, I have become an expert at camera simulations and architecting imaging solutions for machine vision applications to take advantage of the recent advances in machine learning. I am especially interested in computational optics to create optical systems with performance not allowed using traditional optical engineering.
