I am excited to announce that I have taken on the role of Construction Director – Energy Projects at Ratch Australia Corporation, a leading owner/operator of renewable energy assets in Australia. Ratch’s portfolio includes 1.6GW of renewable energy assets and gas-fired power stations that provide stability to the renewable energy market, with an additional 1.8GW of new projects currently in development.In this role, I am responsible for leading the delivery of new energy assets from late-stage development to operations. My focus will be on establishing and managing the project delivery function and overseeing several upcoming projects, the first of which is the 152MW (AC) Marulan Solar Farm with an 81MW/162MWh battery storage system in NSW, scheduled for construction in Q2 of 2025.My key responsibilities include supporting the project development team to optimize project designs, develop procurement strategies, and provide expertise in engineering and project delivery. I will manage the interface between development, delivery, and operations, ensuring smooth transitions between project phases, capturing lessons learned, and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, I will build and manage the project delivery team by developing its structure, recruiting, mentoring, and supporting its growth to enhance internal construction capabilities.I will also review and refine Ratch’s project management systems, ensuring best practices are followed in cost control, scheduling, risk management, and reporting. Throughout the project delivery phase, I will ensure HSEQ compliance, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with appropriate risk management.
