This role was a testament to the power of Linkedin in helping me find great professional opportunities. Following a DM I was headhunted to work as an engagement tutor for a new online Business Writing and Storytelling course for The Economist magazine. I worked remotely as part of a team supporting more than 300 students from across the globe as they looked to hone their business writing and storytelling skills and work through the six modules over six weeks. This included supporting small groups of students with their writing and ongoing tasks and sharing journalistic storytelling tips.It was a truly global experience with many of the students in senior positions in their respective industries and opened my eyes to the benefits and opportunities that asynchronous learning can offer.
