   I currently serve as AVP International Government Affairs covering MetLife’s Asia markets based in Washington D.C. I began my career at MetLife in October 2014 as the Assistant Vice-President, Government Relations Southeast Asia, based initially in Hong Kong and then Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In my role, I develop, drive and execute MetLife’s government engagement strategy for our Asia markets and lead efforts at interacting and building relationships with government officials, regulators, non-governmental organizations and US government agencies in Washington, D.C. Current advocacy efforts are focused on MetLife\'s nine Asian markets; Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, South Korea and Vietnam.In addition to this role, I also chair the American Council of Life Insurers\' Bangladesh, India and Nepal Task Forces, working groups focused on advocating for improved regulatory environments for foreign investors in both countries.
