About Shaun Enos

I am an early career professional currently working as a Maintenance Data Author in the Commercial Maintenance Data and Services Engineering department at Pratt & Whitney. In my last role, I gained experience in the Coatings department, developing TBCs and Corrosion/Oxidation resistant coatings as well as the analysis of the environmental impact on these systems during engine operation. Additionally, I coordinated and reviewed destructive analysis of engine hardware.In prior roles, I completed the P&W MPE Engineering Development Program. This included developing a preform manufacturing process for ceramic composites, the processing and performance of environmental (EBC) and thermal (TBC) barrier coating systems, developing and revising materials and process specifications, and performing image analysis (machine learning), surface roughness, and electron microscopy.Beginning in August 2023, I am pursuing an MS in Materials Science through the University of Florida EDGE program, expected to complete in May 2026. I obtained a Graduate certificate in Engineering Leadership in December 2024.Previously, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University Florida, with a certificate in Advanced Engineering Ceramics, and completed the Honors Program. Senior research was conducted on the Fractographic Analysis of Lithium Silicate Glass Ceramics under Dr. J. Mecholsky, which was used to write and defend a senior thesis. Outside of academics I volunteered with the First Year Engineering Advising Department as one of the Lead Peer Advisors.
