Geo-structural DesignPerform foundation design calculations and provide drawings for upwards of 300’ tall communication towers, ft2 pre-engineered steel buildings, CN rail signals & residential structures. Denote helical pile and ground screw design requirements such as embedment depth & minimum torque requirements to withstand applied shear, compressive, tensile and bending loading using applicable codes (AASHTO, OBC, NBCC, MBC, CFEM).Client Relations and CommunicationAid suppliers/contractors in their bidding process for projects by providing preliminary designs for helical piles and ground screws, through review of technical documents (geotechnical reports, borehole logs, structural drawings, architectural drawings). Ensure client expectations are managed by providing insight to potential project obstacles such as site-specific soil conditions (high water table, liquefaction, boulders, etc) that may affect timelines and estimated engineering costs.Microsoft Word Provide technical reports such as general letters of conformities upon reviewing torque reports for installed helical piles, noting any areas of concerns (piles not installed to torque & /or embedment specifications, site specific concerns). In addition to, providing helical pile recommendation reports, which note site specific soil conditions, design loads and helical pile specifications based on analysis of the site specific soil profile.Microsoft ExcelIncreasing design efficiency by developing excel sheets to design helical piles and ground screws in accordance with applicable codes and geotechnical resistances factors based on the project scope.AutoCAD Drafting foundation drawings for telecommunication towers, residential and commercial structures noting helical pile and ground screw design (required minimum installation torque and embedment). In addition to creating fabrication drawings for grillage frames.
